15 Men charged after raids on passports factories in UK

More than 100 officers took part in the raids Fifteen people have been charged following police raids on suspected illegal passport factories.

More than 100 officers were involved in Wednesday's dawn raids across London, in which 13 addresses were searched.  

Police seized £40,000 in cash, fake passports, driving licences and identity papers.  Seven people have appeared before Croydon magistrates charged with identity fraud.

Eight more are due in court later facing similar charges.  The addresses searched were in Walthamstow, Rotherhithe, Ilford, Upper Holloway, South Lambeth, Hackney, Brixton, Kilburn, Stoke Newington, Tottenham, Bermondsey and Greenford.  

Charges include unlawful facilitation, identity card offences and possession and conspiracy to produce and distribute false documents.
