Saudi Arabia sentences Egyptian to death for desecrating Koran
An Egyptian living in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to death for desecrating the Koran and renouncing Islam.
He was sprung by worshippers at a mosque who told police the man had left copies of the Muslim holy book in the wash rooms.
A court found him guilty of no longer being a Muslim and violating the boundaries set by God. Saudi Arabia executes criminals under its austere version of Sunni Islam
