Two Luton men have been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service for allegedly plotting to join Isis in Syria, while one of the men is further accused of planning to kill US military personnel based in the UK.

Junead Ahmed Khan, 24, and his uncle Shazib Ahmed Khan, 22, were charged with hatching a plan to join the terror network in contravention of the Terrorism Act 2006. The charge dates between 1 August 2014 and 10 May 2015.

A gunman opened fire today at two military centers in Chattanooga, Tenn., killing four Marines and wounding three other people.

The gunman is also dead, though it's unclear how he was killed.

The FBI identified the gunman as Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, 24. Law enforcement officials tell NPR's Dina Temple-Raston that he is a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Kuwait. His parents are Jordanian.

US Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham has lashed out at President Barack Obama over his foreign policy, arguing that his policy helped the rise of the ISIL terrorist group in the Middle East.

Two gunman attacked a resort in Sousse on the Mediterranean coast, with shots fired on the beach.

Holidaymakers sunbathing were mown down in a hail of bullets in the latest ISIS-linked terror spectacular.

One of the gunmen's bodies lay at the scene with a Kalashnikov assault rifle after he was shot in an exchange of gunfire with police.

The second attacker is believed to be on the run and Tunisian authorities confirmed foreigners were among the dead. 

The Foreign Office said it is aware of the reports that Britons were involved in the incident and is looking into them.

A spokesman said: "We are aware of the ongoing situation at a hotel resort in Sousse, Tunisia. We are urgently looking to establish further details and whether any British citizens are involved."

The attack reportedly took place on the Imperial Marhaba hotel.

France has begun a terror investigation after a decapitated body was found at the scene of a suspected Islamist attack on a US-owned gas factory near the south-eastern city of Lyon.

One arrested man suspected to have rammed a car into the factory had been investigated over possible ties to Islamist radicals, officials said.

President Francois Hollande said the aim was to blow up the factory.

Officials say the decapitated person was a local businessman.

His head was found on a post at the gates to the Air Products gas factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, some 40km (25 miles) from Lyon.

A West Yorkshire teenager is believed to have become Britain's youngest ever suicide bomber after reportedly blowing himself up in Iraq.

Talha Asmal, 17, was one of four suicide bombers who attacked forces near an oil refinery south of Baiji.

Prosecutors in Bosnia have brought terror charges against 12 people accused of traveling to Iraq and Syria to join the "Islamic State" (IS). An estimated 200 Bosnians have left to fight with the extremist group.

The Bosnian nationals were charged with "becoming part of a terrorist group and illegally participating in conflicts in Syria in Iraq," according to a statement from the state prosecutor's office in Sarajevo.

The men allegedly traveled to Turkey during 2013 and 2014 before crossing illegally into Syria, where they joined "Islamic State" (IS).

Four Egyptian teenagers and their teacher have been detained for poking fun at ISIS in a harmless video. 

The teenagers, aged between 15 and 16, could face up to five years in a youth detention centre, while their teacher faces a potential jail term of up to seven years. 

The group were arrested last month and have been stuck in police holding cells ever since.

The teenagers have been detained after the film went public
